Terms of Service

The short version: Sumeeran sends you one curated WhatsApp message every morning. You can cancel anytime by replying "cancel". We provide spiritual content for personal practice; we are not a substitute for medical, legal, or financial advice. The first 7 days are free.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Sumeeran, a daily WhatsApp briefing service operated by Mahajan Ventures (a sole proprietorship registered in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India). By signing up for Sumeeran, you agree to these Terms in full.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the service.

01About the Service

Sumeeran ("the Service") is a subscription-based daily morning briefing delivered to your WhatsApp number at approximately 6:00 AM IST (India Standard Time) every day. Each message typically contains:

03Free Trial

Every new subscriber receives a 7-day free trial. During this period:

04Yogdaan (Subscription)

After the free trial, continuing the Service requires a "yogdaan" — a recurring contribution that supports ongoing operations. Yogdaan plans:

The term "yogdaan" (योगदान) is used in the sense of "contribution to a shared purpose." It is not a charitable donation in the legal sense, and is not eligible for tax deduction under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961. Yogdaan is a fair contribution for the Service rendered.

4.1 Seva Commitment

We commit that 5% of all yogdaan received will be contributed to verified goshalas (cow shelters) across India each calendar quarter. Subscribers who wish to know which goshalas received contributions in a given quarter, the amounts contributed, and copies of receipts may request these details by writing to hello@sumeeran.com. We will share the information privately within 7 working days. This 5% commitment cannot be reduced without 60 days' notice to active subscribers.

4.2 Payment

Payment for yogdaan is collected manually via Razorpay (the payment processor) after the free trial ends. You will receive a payment link via WhatsApp on Day 8. There is no auto-debit and no recurring payment mandate. We will never charge your card, UPI handle, or bank account without your explicit action at the time of each yogdaan.

Each yogdaan covers exactly one period — one month or one year, as you chose. At the end of that period, the Service does not renew automatically. You will receive a renewal link via WhatsApp, and you may choose to pay again to continue, or to let it lapse. There is no obligation to renew.

Pricing is in Indian Rupees (₹). For subscribers outside India, your payment provider may charge a currency conversion fee, which is not collected by us.

4.3 Price Changes

We may revise yogdaan amounts in the future. Any revision will be communicated to active subscribers at least 30 days before it takes effect. You may cancel the Service at any time if you do not wish to continue at the revised yogdaan.

05Cancellation & No Refunds

Because Sumeeran operates on a manual, non-recurring yogdaan model, "cancellation" simply means choosing not to renew. There is nothing to formally cancel. When your current period (month or year) ends, the Service stops unless you choose to make a new yogdaan.

If you wish to stop receiving daily messages before your paid period ends, you may pause delivery at any time by replying "stop" or "pause" to any Sumeeran WhatsApp message, or by emailing hello@sumeeran.com. Note, however:

06Pause

You may pause the Service at any time (during travel, fasts, or for any other reason) by replying "pause" to any Sumeeran message. Your streak and history are preserved during a pause. Reply "resume" to start receiving messages again. Paused subscriptions do not extend the billing period unless paused for more than 30 consecutive days, in which case we will contact you.

08Content Disclaimer

Sumeeran provides spiritual and devotional content for personal practice. It is not, and should not be construed as, a substitute for:

We make best efforts to ensure that panchang calculations, scripture references, and festival dates are accurate. However, traditions vary across sects and regions; you remain responsible for verifying anything you act upon. We do not warrant absolute accuracy or completeness.

09Intellectual Property

The Sumeeran name, brand, logo, website design, and original written content are the intellectual property of Mahajan Ventures, protected under Indian copyright and trademark law.

Sacred texts, shlokas, mantras, and scriptural verses quoted in our messages are in the public domain by virtue of their antiquity. Our presentation, selection, translation, and commentary are our original work.

You may share individual daily messages personally with friends and family. You may not republish our content commercially, on other platforms, or in any compiled form, without our written permission.

10Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Mahajan Ventures and its proprietor shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the total yogdaan amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under Indian law.

11Service Availability

We aim to deliver daily messages at 6:00 AM IST, every day. However, delivery depends on third-party services — WhatsApp / Meta, AiSensy, internet infrastructure, telecom networks — which are outside our control. We are not liable for delays, missed messages, or service interruptions caused by:

If a significant outage occurs (more than 3 consecutive days of missed messages caused by issues on our side), we will extend your paid period by the equivalent number of days at no additional yogdaan. Refunds are not provided.

12Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if:

13Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in law, our practices, or our services. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated to active subscribers via WhatsApp at least 30 days in advance.

Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of India. Any dispute, claim, or proceeding arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

Nothing in this clause shall prevent any subscriber from approaching consumer dispute redressal forums in their place of residence as permitted under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
